Rockin the Bowl – Forged in Fire, Set in Steel will take place from 9th to 11th September 2022.

The camping area will open at 12pm – midday on Friday 9th September. All campers will need to have left the site by 12:00pm – midday on Monday 12th September.
Campervans and caravans are permitted on site and will not incur an extra charge. Each ticket holder must hold a camping ticket.
Vehicles for campers are allowed into the campsite. Please follow closely the directions our marshalls give you and avoid moving your vehicle during the weekend. If you must move your vehicle, please keep to crawling speed and be very careful.
Alcohol and food will be allowed within the camping area. BBQ’s are only permitted if they are off the ground and don’t damage the grass and personal alcohol will not be allowed into the arena. Please ensure all rubbish is taken away with you. Leave the site as found please.
Children over 5 can come along and enjoy the day but please remember this is an adult oriented event with adult themes.
Children under 14 years of age on the day of the event gain free entry with a free ticket, purchased alongside a full paying adult. This a very low-risk event but still please keep a close eye on your children as they are your sole responsibility.
All lost property should be handed in at the box office near the entrance gate and all enquiries can be made there. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for further information.
Set lists will be available online and social media closer to the date.
There will be no seating provided in the arena. However, foldable camping chairs can be brought into the arena.
Seating will be available for disabled ticket holders.
We do take card payments but if you would prefer cash, the nearest cash point is 5 minutes away, opposite the Ice arena. Please see our site map which shows the location of the ATM. Please note, this ATM may not get serviced over the weekend so may run low on cash by Sunday so please prepare accordingly.

Drinks tokens are available at the gate but they do not transfer to the following year.
Yes, but please not that any driving must be kept to a minimum and at crawling speed. Wait to be escorted if possible.
We assign bands based on how they fit the line-up and try to ensure that we have a wide variety of bands to make for an experience that rock lovers of all flavours will enjoy the weekend. If you have a band that you think deserves to be on the line up, please contact [email protected] with your suggestion and they will be considered for another time.
We have a wide variety of vendors at the festival with gluten free, vegetarian, vegan and allergy free options available.

The nearest hotel is the IBIS hotel which is very close to the Don Valley Bowl. Please see our Site map on the Venue section of our website.
You can buy tickets by ordering them on the website in the ‘tickets and merch’ section of our website. Currently, we only offer tickets for the entire weekend. Tickets will also be available on the day for a slightly higher price.
Parking space is limited but parking tickets haven’t gone on sale yet. Please keep an eye on our social media for further announcements.
We have people stationed at the welfare point which is near to the main entrance of the festival (please see site map) who are there to make sure that everyone is healthy and happy at Rockin the Bowl. If you are feeling overwhelmed, worried or just feel as though you need to talk about something, please see them and they will be happy to help you with anything you need. These people will also help you if you cannot find your child/children.
Our COVID-19 measures always comply with whatever government rules are in place at the time.
We ask that everyone who attends the festival always takes their waste home with them. We have large sack bins around the site which are emptied daily where the waste is all recycled when possible at a nearby recycling site after they have been collected. All glasses/cups served at the bar are recyclable or compostable.
Staff will be taking note of tickets in the entrance areas on the days of the festival. The campsite is within the Don Valley Bowl and connected to the arena. Please see the site map on the venue section of this website.
Yes, there are showers and water points available for public use.
The gates will open for campers at midday on Friday the 9th. The arena will open at 3pm on Friday. The arena opens at 10:30am on Saturday and Sunday. The last band finishes at 10:30pm on Friday and Saturday and at 9:30pm on Sunday, gates close at 11:00pm on Friday and Saturday and at 10:0pm on Sunday. We ask that all campers could please depart by midday on Monday. Bar opening times are 11:00am – 10:30pm on Friday and Saturday and 11:00am – 9:30pm on Sunday.
There will be flyers placed about the festival in different locations around the bowl on the dates of the festival.
We will have designated team members on standby at all times to ensure that those with access needs and disabilities can be aided in any way they need. Access ramps, disabled toilets and covered viewing areas are all available and we will ensure that the surfaces are well drained to make it easier for those who use wheelchairs or need stable ground.

You cannot park next to your tent as the security stewards have advised against it. It is safer to have all vehicles in the parking areas and also makes patrolling easier for the guards which is essential for everyone’s safety at the festival.
Assistance and support animals are welcomed; however, we are unable to allow any other animals into the arena.

Under 5’s are not allowed but children’s tickets for those up to 14 years of age come free with the purchase of an adult ticket. The event is low risk and the festival has safety procedures in place but this is an adult-oriented event and the festival sees parents/carers as solely responsible for their children. No minors are allowed when an adult is not supervising and responsible for them. A maximum of 6 children are allowed per order of adult tickets.
We allow and recommend that you bring any essential items such as food, water, prescribed drugs (not recreational), camping chairs, cooler boxes and non-professional cameras.
Glass bottles, liquid containers, professional cameras, recreational drugs (including legal highs) are all banned items. Alcohol may be brought and consumed in the camping area, however, we ask that once you are inside the arena, alcohol is bought from the licensed bar only.
