Hi everyone, Wow, what a week it's been! Unfortunately, not all good. It seems that covid is very much back in all our lives, and as a result of this, we find that we have no alternative but to postpone next Saturday's gig at the Corp featuring Outlaw Orchestra and friends. The decision didn't come easily and there was more than one reason for this decision. 1. Safety safety safety We feel that as always even if we have thought of everything, and made sure that the gig was as covid secure as it is possible to get, the risk still remains, especially with the dramatic rise in cases across the country. 2. Sheffield could well be in line for becoming a tier 3 city by the time the gig is on which of course would result in last minute cancellation. We would rather give notice in good time than waiting until the very last minute to let people know. 3. Public confidence in live gigs at the moment is low and a large number of our ticket holders have already decided not to attend. We wouldn't mind at all taking a couple of hundred pounds loss on the whole thing just to see a live gig go ahead. However, the venue needs to be paid, the technical crew need paying, the bar staff need wages, the security etc. All this would have left virtually nothing to pay the bands with. No matter what the circumstances, we firmly believe that bands should ALWAYS get a fair payment for their performance. 4. This gig will be back. We are looking at a date in early January. All tickets will be valid for the new date and full refunds will be made on request if you prefer. We will be emailing every ticket holder personally by the end of the weekend to give them this information and ask how they want to proceed. Rockin the Bowl and Forge AMP / Forge Ahead Initiative would like to thank every ticket holder for continuing to support live music and helping this stricken industry to keep fighting. We would also like to congratulate the Corporation Live Music Venue on securing one of the rarest things in the country at this time - a grant for a grassroots venue which has helped to secure their continued existence. ... Good morning everybody, latest update regarding THE OUTLAW ORCHESTRA / Jamie Porter Band / Yesterday's gone / Pretty Babs / Pete K Mally CORP gig. First thing to say is that this gig is STILL ON. There seems to be a bit of confusion out there as to what you are and aren't able to do under the new covid restrictions. 1. Sheffield is currently in the tier 2 (high risk) category and is most likely to remain there for approximately a month until the restrictions are reviewed again. 2. Live entertainment is still permitted. However, when you attend, you must only mix with people of your own household/support bubble. For example, if you have booked a 4-person table, the people on that table must either live in your house or be another household that you have chosen as part of your support bubble. 3. You can only form a support bubble with 1 other household. 4. People from other areas that are in tier 2 or tier 1 can travel to and from the gig together. People who are in a tier 3/very high risk area, are only permitted to travel for work or educational reasons. 5. We will be contacting all ticket holders via phone call or text message over the next 4 days to get details about their party. Please note that on arrival at the gig you are required to give the name and address of the ticket holder (please have one form of id for name confirmation). However, it is not a requirement to have physical evidence of the relationship between the two bubbles. 6. Gates open at 6:30pm, first band on at approximately 6:45 so we need to be quick about getting everyone through the door. 7. Payments for drinks will be ONLY via the QTAP app. Please download it and make sure your phone is charged. We will be taking card payments or cash for merch.
